Texas A&M’s 2024 season opener vs. Notre Dame will kick off the Mike Elko in style, as the prime-time showdown on Saturday night will start with ESPN’s College GameDay returning to College Station for the first time since the 2018 season.
Since it was announced, a couple of names have come to mind regarding who should be the guest picker, but only one name truly makes sense. On Thursday morning, it was announced that former Texas A&M starting quarterback and Heisman winner Johnny Manziel will head back to make his official pick for who will come out victorious that evening.
Manziel’s two-year Aggie playing career may never be trumped after passing for 7,812 yards and 63 touchdowns, paired with 2,163 rushing yards and 30 touchdowns on the ground.
However, Manziel’s personal struggles have received more media coverage than they deserve, but his redemption story has only begun, starting with his recent opening of a new bar/nightclub in College Station. Even more exciting, Manziel will join Action Network’s BBOC podcast for the 2024 season.
