Texas A&M vs. Arkansas game time has been announced

Texas A&M’s Week 5 test vs. Arkansas now has an official game time

Texas A&M (2-1, 1-0 SEC) will face the new-look Arkansas Razorbacks (2-1) in the annual Southwest Classic on Saturday, Sept. 28, inside AT&T Stadium. Both teams are currently 2-1 after their week 3 victories.

The Aggies’ offense exploded against the Florida Gators on Saturday, as backup quarterback Marcel Reed, accompanied by an elite running game, accounted for 400-plus yards, including 310 yards on the ground. With the win, head coach Mike Elko earned his first in the conference, while the 10-game SEC road losing streak has officially been broken.

Arkansas’s preseason expectations were low, but after bringing in former Texas A&M OC Bobby Petrino, a legend in Fayetteville during his time as Arkansas head coach, and his subsequent dismissal, Arkansas has brought life back to the Razorback offense with new dual-threat quarterback Taylen Green.

While the Razorbacks face a tough test at Auburn this weekend, Texas A&M is heavily favored at home against Bowling Green. If both teams are 3-1 and 1-0 in SEC play entering the game, we’re in for quite the showdown.

On Monday, it was announced that the game is slated to start at 2:30 p.m. CT., but a broadcast network has yet to be determined, as ABC, ESPN, and the SEC Network are all potential options.

Since Texas A&M joined the SEC at the start of the 2012 season, the Aggies have defeated Arkansas 11 out of their last 12 meetings.
