Texas A&M transfer WR has found his new home for the 2025 season

Former Texas A&M wide receiver Cyrus Allen is headed to the Big 12 for the 2025 season

Texas A&M’s transfer portal departures included one of the more reliable offensive contributors during the 2024 season, veteran wide receiver Cyrus Allen, who transferred to College Station after two seasons with Louisiana Tech.

However, after recording 18 receptions for 269 yards in eight appearances, Allen’s season-ending upper-body injury during A&M’s shutout win over New Mexico State ended his short Aggie career, as the junior pass catcher entered the transfer portal a month later.

Allen’s best moments during the season game in the first few weeks, including his 73-yard touchdown catch against Florida on the road in the Aggies’ 33-20 win over the Gators, while his snaps diminished in favor of senior WR Jabre Barber during the second half of the year.

Still, Allen has a lot to provide for any passing attack. After initially committing to Tulane on Monday, Allen quickly changed his mind. He will now transfer to Cincinnati in the Big 12, as the Louisiana native will head to Ohio for a new chapter in his college career.

In three collegiate seasons, Cyrus Allen has recorded 86 receptions, 1,547 yards, and nine touchdowns at LA Tech and Texas A&M.
