Texas A&M transfer wide receiver has three new potential landing spots

Three programs, including the Texas Longhorns, are favorites to land Texas A&M transfer WR Noah Thomas

On Wednesday, Texas A&M junior wide receiver Noah Thomas entered the NCAA transfer portal after three seasons with the program. Thomas is coming off his most productive season yet, reeling with a career-high 574 yards and eight touchdowns.

While there were rumors regarding Thomas’s potential to enter the portal earlier last month, it was believed that he would benefit from new wide receiver additions this offseason but potentially move down the depth chart. Still, Thomas’s ceiling has yet to be reached, and he believes a new program will allow him to do so.

Just a day after Thomas’s announcement, On3’s Pete Nakos reported that Miami, Georgia, and, yes, crosstown rival Texas are the transfer destinations to watch. Still, it’s important to note that he would not be guaranteed a starting spot at either program, especially the Longhorns.

Losing Thomas’s size and experience does hurt Texas A&M’s young wide receiver corps, meaning Elko and his staff will likely need to add one more receiver similar to Thomas’s long frame.
