Texas A&M’s 2024 season ended at the hands of USC in the Las Vegas Bowl, as the Aggies fell 35-31 after leading 24-7 in the third quarter. While coach Mike Elko has a lot of work in front of him this offseason, he will not be without one of the more reliable receivers on the roster in 2025.
After two seasons with Texas A&M, senior wide receiver Jahdae Walker has declared for the 2025 NFL Draft after reeling in 29 receptions for 290 yards and three touchdowns, finishing his Aggie career with 935 yards and four touchdowns through the air.
On Friday, Walker’s 40-yard catch against USC was the cherry on top of a successful two-year stint, as the versatile pass catcher can get drafted in the later rounds or find a team as an undrafted free agent.
Standing at 6-4 and over 200 pounds, Walker can easily play at the X or Z receiver spots due to his athleticism and soft hands. Walker joins defensive lineman Nic Scourton, Shemar Stewart, and Shemar Turner as the latest NFL Draft departure.
