Texas A&M senior WR Jabre Barber has announced his future plans

Texas A&M senior WR Jabre Barber is headed to the 2025 NFL Draft

Texas A&M’s 2024 season ended at 8-5 with a 35-31 loss to USC in the Las Vegas Bowl, as coach Mike Elko’s inaugural campaign had its highs and lows, but ultimately made it through with a passing grade.

This offseason, Elko and his staff are focused on adding veterans from the transfer portal, leading to eleven commitments, including former Iowa State and Richmond (TX) native Tyler Oynedim. However, nearly a dozen Aggies, including senior wide receiver Jabre Barber, have already entered the 2025 NFL Draft.

On Saturday, Barber, who spent his final collegiate season with the Aggies, could have potentially returned next season, however, after Elko and his staff landed three wide receiver commitments, including former NC State WR KC Concepcion.

During the 2024 season, Barber became one of quarterback Marcel Reed’s more dependable targets despite missing several games to open the year. Barber finished second on the team with 38 receptions, 381 yards, and two touchdowns, including a 58-yard reception against Mississippi State.

Barber looks like a slot receiver at the next level due to his size, speed, and dependability on third down.
