Texas A&M has reportedly extended an offer to one of the top wide receivers from the 2024 season, as the Aggies aim to bolster their already impressive 2025 receiving corps with at least one more proven player.
On Christmas Day, the Aggies extended an offer to Tru Edwards, a transfer wide receiver from Louisiana Tech. During his last season with the Bulldogs, he tallied 77 receptions, 897 receiving yards, and six touchdowns, averaging 11.6 yards per catch.
Edwards, who stands 6-3 and weighs 201 pounds, is a genuine playmaker, possessing the speed and route-running skills to complement his impressive statistics.
According to Pro Football Focus, Edwards earned a 74.1 offensive grade and a 75.8 receiving grade. However, his 73.0 pass-blocking grade was equally impressive and likely caught the eye of Coach Mike Elko and OC Collin Klein.
Texas A&M has landed commitments this offseason from former Texas Tech and five-star wide receiver Micah Hudson and former Mississippi State wide receiver Mario Cramer. At the same time, highly coveted North Carolina State transfer WR KC Concepcion’s recent visit to College Station still hangs in the balance.
