Texas A&M offers former Division II Pittsburgh State WR Christian Carter

Texas A&M has offered former prolific Division II Pitt State WR, Christian Carter.

Aggies head coach Jimbo Fisher’s recent comment during his appearance at the Fort Worth A&M Club surrounding the program’s activity in the transfer portal, Fisher alluded that more talent was on the way, and just days after, Texas A&M landed highly productive Division II wide receiver Jahdae Walker.

Walker’s addition not only adds depth to an already highly talented starting unit, but his size (6-4, 185 lbs) has the potential for chunk plays in the passing game. Well, if you thought that Fisher was finished making additions to the wide receiver core, think again, as Thursday’s news that former Pittsburg State, another Division II program, WR Christian Carter received an offer from Texas A&M after averaging 14 yards per reception during his time with the program.

Standing at 6-0 and 167 pounds, Carter is built for the slot and return game in the SEC, but his athletic profile and impressive second-gear speed set him apart on film, and he could make an immediate impact on special teams if he chose the Maroon and White. During the 2022 season, Carter recorded 51 receptions for 692 yards and five touchdowns. Going into 2023, Carter will have two more seasons of eligibility remaining.
