Texas A&M offers 2025 4-Star LB out of Danville (CA)

Texas A&M and head coach Mike Elko have offered 2025 4-Star linebacker Marco Jones out of Danville, California.

Texas A&M’s 2025 recruiting class is poised to grow exponentially over the next five months, as head coach Mike Elko and his staff are hard at work developing relationships and fielding offers to a litany of highly talented prospects in the cycle.

This weekend, the offers continued to roll out, targeting one of the top defensive talents in the Midwest, including 2025 five-star defensive lineman Nathaniel Marshall. Sticking to defense, Elko has now fielded an offer to 2025 four-star linebacker Marco Jones, hailing from Danville, California, and San Ramon Valley High School.

Jones, listed as an EDGE by multiple outlets, finished his 2023 junior season on a high note, recording 176 tackles (76 solo tackles), 2.5 sacks and 3 interceptions on the year, ranking 15th in California in total tackles on the year.

According to 247Sports, Jones is currently positioned as the 88th-ranked player in the 2025 cycle, the 12th-ranked EDGE prospect, and the 8th-ranked player in California. Standing at 6-5 and 230 pounds, Jones’ skillset fits the outside linebacker mold at the next level, possessing the speed and athleticism in coverage with the length to rush off the edge.
