The Texas A&M Aggies are looking to add another former Georgia Bulldog via the transfer portal. Sam M’Pemba is expected to be visiting the Aggies this week, according to Sports Illustrated.
M’Pemba, who is a former five-star recruit, spent his Georgia career as a reserve edge rusher for the Bulldogs. In two years, he had six tackles and played in 15 total games. Georgia edge rushers Mykel Williams, Jalon Walker, Damon Wilson, Chaz Chambliss and Gabe Harris all played over M’Pemba this season, so M’Pemba likely entered the portal in order receive more playing.
If Texas A&M lands him, the Aggies will be getting a former five-star recruit who has at least two more years of eligibility. At 6-foot-3, 250-pounds M’Pemba could be a future NFL player.
Of course, M’Pemba would be joining former Georgia four-star cornerback Julian Humphrey with the Aggies. M’Pemba isn’t the only defensive lineman to transfer; Jamaal Jarrett recently committed to USC. Regardless, Georgia will need to replace both of those defensive linemen.
