Texas A&M lands in 2026 4-star WR out of Waco (TX) Top six program list

Texas A&M is looking to load up at WR in the 2026 recruiting class

Texas A&M’s 2026 recruiting class is currently the No. 1-ranked cycle after head coach Mike Elko landed four commitments in less than two weeks. During Week 9 of the 2024 season, Texas A&M’s 38-23 win over LSU resulted in all four visitors committing, including 4-star TE Xavier Tiller on Monday.

Back on Aug 31, during the Aggies 41-10 win over Missouri when the Tigers were ranking in the Top 10, 2026 4-star WR London Smith was one of the visitors on the weekend, leaving the game impressed with the program and looking forward returning in the near future.

Elko and his staff are well aware of the program’s lack of depth at the wide receiver position, as former Troy WR Jabre Barber has looked like one of the only reliable options over the past two weeks.

On Thursday, London Smith revealed his top 6 program list, as Texas, Arkansas, Baylor, Tennessee, Ole Miss, Texas A&M are the final schools he will consider moving forward.

Texas A&M currently holds two wide receiver commitments in the 2025 class, including 4-star WR Kelshaun Johnson.

According to 247Sports, Smith is currently positioned as 165th-ranked prospect in the 2026 class, the 27th-ranked wide receiver prospect, and the 21st ranked prospect in Texas.
