Texas A&M’s future at the quarterback position is stable. Yet, in the era of the rapidly growing popularity of the transfer portal, nothing is set in stone, as the 2023 roster, including sophomore Conner Weigman, senior Max Johnson, and incoming freshman Marcel Reed, while 2024 four-star Anthony Maddox, is currently the lone signal caller signed in any future recruiting class for the Aggies.
Well, changes may be on the horizon, as 2025 four-star quarterback Deuce Knight, who is entering his senior season at George County High School in Lucedale, Mississippi, released his Top 10 program list, which included Washington, Notre Dame, Ole Miss, South Carolina, Auburn, Oregon, Tennessee, TCU, Georgia, and of course, Texas A&M.
According to Rivals, Knight is the 7th-ranked player in Mississippi and the No.1-ranked Duel Threat Quarterback in the 2025 cycle. Standing at 6-4 and 185 pounds, Knight threw for 1,929 yards and 11 touchdowns with a 61% completion percentage while rushing for 488 yards and 12 touchdowns on the ground.

Knight will continue to find his footing with two more high school seasons remaining, while his enormous potential as a true dual-threat quarterback at the next level is one of the many reasons he’s already received over 20 plus offers so far. The Aggies offered Knight back on March 13, and with their recent addition to his Top 10 list, I’ll assume a visit will be scheduled sooner than later.
