Texas A&M HC Mike Elko recently visited one of the Aggies’ top 2025 recruiting targets

Texas A&M head coach Mike Elko recently visited 2025 tight end Kiotti Armstrong this week.

Texas A&M head coach Mike Elko and his staff are making the visiting rounds this week, focused on sustaining as many relationships as possible with members of the 2025 recruiting class after hosting several key prospects during the junior day earlier this month.

Elko’s success in the transfer portal will significantly impact the Aggies’ 2024 season. However, looking toward the future, prepare for departures at nearly every position due to said portal, including at the tight end. On Thursday, Elko and Associate HC/Running Backs Coach Trooper Taylor took a short trip to Jasper High School to visit 2025 tight end Kiotti Armstrong, who took unofficial visits to College Station on July 29 and most recently, Jan. 13.

According to 247Sports, Armstrong is currently positioned as the 54th-ranked player in the 2025 cycle, the 3rd-ranked tight end, and the 9th-ranked player in Texas. Standing at 6-6 and weighing 248 pounds, Armstrong is the epitome of today’s elite TE prospect, possessing the speed and receiving ability and enough size to line up as a blocker in 12 personnel.

During his 2023 junior season, Armstrong was a red zone threat, recording 26 receptions for 268 yards and 9 touchdowns through the air after netting just 2 receiving scores in 2022.
