Can’t keep them all I suppose. On Wednesday afternoon, it was reported that Texas A&M reserve guard Erik Pratt entered the transfer portal after one season in College Station, as the talented sharp-shooter just couldn’t find a way into what was a veteran rotation this season.
Standing at 6-5 and 185lbs, Pratt only appeared in a total of nine out of A&M’s 35 games, with this best showing in a home matchup against Georgia, scoring six points in his largest point total of the season. Pratt appeared in six games during non-conference play, and only three in SEC play, mostly during decided matchups where Head coach Buzz Williams cleared the bench.
According to 247Sports, Erik Pratt was ranked as the No. 7 JUCO prospect and No. 2 guard after a couple of seasons at Seward College. Pratt’s size and perimeter shooting will surely garner him a number of options in the portal, while Texas A&M looks to add a number of players out of the portal themselves to what should be a loaded roster for the 2023 season.
