Texas A&M gains ground in latest AP Top 25 Poll following Week 4

After being shut out last week, Texas A&M received some appreciation in the latest AP Top 25 Poll update through Week 4.

Texas A&M (3-1, 1-0 SEC) made some progress among the AP Poll voters over the weekend, but they’re not in the Top 25 just yet.

Fresh off a 27-10 win over Auburn on Saturday, the Aggies received votes in the latest AP Top 25 Poll update after being shut out in last week’s rankings. As the SEC slate continues for the Maroon and White, remaining consistent and logging wins will surely propel them in rankings in the coming weeks.

For the first time since the 2016 preseason, a season-high six teams received first-place votes in the latest AP Top 25 Poll update. Georgia (No. 1) remains atop the rankings, but their total first-place votes have dipped to 55 out of a possible 63. Michigan and Texas stayed put at No. 2 and No. 3, while Ohio State (No. 4) and Florida State (No. 5) round out the top five.

Colorado, fresh off a 42-6 blowout loss to Oregon, dropped out of the AP Top 25 entirely, though they still received votes. The Ducks jumped up one spot to No. 9 overall.

Below is a look at the full latest AP Top 25 Poll update following Week 4:
