Owens sports a 5-11, 190lb frame and possesses top-level speed in the open field, with elite cutting ability, short-area suddenness, and great burst and acceleration when reaching that second gear of speed. During his 2021 junior season, Owens was named Texas District 12-4A D-I Overall MVP Class 4A Co-Offensive Player of the Year by the Texas Sportswriters Association. Owens also participates in Track and Field in the long jump, 4X100, and the 4X200.
