Texas A&M men’s basketball made their latest transfer addition official with the announcement of signing big man graduate transfer Wildens Leveque to the 2023-24 roster.
Leveque brings a bevy of experience to an Aggie basketball roster that is looking to build upon its success from the 2022-23 campaign. He’s logged 52 starts and has appeared in 108 career games at both South Carolina and UMass. Across four seasons, he’s averaged 5.1 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 0.9 blocks per game in close to 17.0 minutes per game of action.
While at South Carolina, Leveque helped the Gamecocks to a 4-0 mark against the Maroon & White while logging totals of 16 points, 12 rebounds, and four blocks.

Assistant coach Steve Roccaforte spoke about what Leveque brings to College Station, in particular how his maturity and experience on the hardwood fits seamlessly into Buzz Williams’ system:
“Wildens is a mature, experienced veteran. He fits the Buzz Williams system perfectly. He cares about winning and his teammates first. He is a physical big who works hard and plays harder. He wants to help Texas A&M win at the highest level. We are very happy to have him. He is our type of guy.”
At 6-11 and 235 pounds, Leveque provides some much-welcomed size and depth in the front court behind established starters Henry Coleman III and Julius Marble. With Buzz Williams relishing players that impact both ends of the floor, Leveque provides A&M with valuable rim protection after coming off a career-high 1.2 blocks per game during the 2022-23 campaign.
