Texas A&M Baseball’s 2024 season begins on Friday, Feb. 16, as head coach Jim Schlossnagle’s most talented squad in his tenure will take the field to host McNeese State for their opening weekend series in Blue Bell Park.
Throughout the offseason, we at Aggies Wire have touched on A&M’s elite batting lineup, led by returning All-SEC outfielder Jace LaViolette and former Stanford OF Branden Montgomery. Still, the Aggies starting pitching has many of us eager to see what they’ll bring to the table throughout the season.
On Thursday, Schlossnagle announced Texas A&M’s three starting pitchers for Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Here is that lineup:
- Friday: LHP redshirt sophomore Ryan Prager
- Saturday: LHP sophomore Justin Lamkin
- Sunday: LHP sophomore Shane Sdao
It’s no surprise that all three young men have been chosen to lead the way to start off the season, as the roster is loaded with left-handed pitching talent, also including junior Troy Wansing, freshman Kaiden Wilson, and senior Evan Aschenbeck, who we will see throughout the season.
