The story of the first half of the matchup between the Texas A&M Aggies and Ole Miss Rebels at Kyle Field, is undoubtedly the starting debut of Aggies freshman quarterback Conner Weigman, as Jimbo Fisher’s offense has looked more cohesive and consistent in the first half against Ole Miss than it has at any point in the 2022 season thus far.
Weigman led back to back touchdown drives in the first quarter, throwing touchdown passes to Moose Muhammad and Evan Stewart, who made a fantastic one handed grab in the corner of the end zone to give the Aggies a 14-7 lead.
The Aggies defense has struggled to slow down the Ole Miss running game, and Quinshon Judkins has already totaled 119 rushing yards, but the young Aggies defense has been able to make enough plays to keep the Aggies in front, and they carry a 14-10 lead over Lane Kiffin’s Rebels into halftime.
