Texans Week 14 injury report: TE Dalton Schultz out, 3 others questionable

The Houston Texans will be without tight end Dalton Schultz for a second consecutive week with a hamstring injury.

Houston Texans tight end Dalton Schultz will miss a second consecutive game with a hamstring injury, the team announced Friday in their final Week 14 injury report.

Schultz was a limited participant in practice on Wednesday but missed the past two days.

That means backup Brevin Jordan will likely start at tight end in place of Schultz against the New York Jets. Jordan caught three passes for 64 yards in the Texans’ Week 13 win over the Denver Broncos.

Three other Texans players were given questionable tags ahead of Sunday’s game: wide receiver Noah Brown (knee) did not practice Friday, defensive tackle Sheldon Rankins (elbow/shoulder) was a limited participant Friday and tackle George Fant (hip) practiced in full.

Defensive end Will Anderson (shoulder), linebacker Neville Hewitt (hamstring), linebacker Denzel Perryman (knee) and safety Jimmy Ward (shoulder) were not given injury designations.
