Texans vs. Titans second quarter recap: Tennessee pulls away 21-0

The Tennessee Titans finally woke up and took the Houston Texans to task with a 21-0 halftime lead.

Texans 3rd drive (4 plays, 18 yards, 2:11) [continued] The Texans weren’t able to pick up anything near the boundary on third-and-12.

Titans 3rd drive (11 plays, 94 yards, 7:45) — The Titans get backed up at their on 6-yard line on an illegal block in the back on the punt return. However, the Titans are able to find WR Julio Jones to move the ball. The Titans seemingly score a 1-yard touchdown with RB D’Onta Foreman, but DT Jeffery Simmons did not report as eligible and generated an illegal substitution penalty, backing up the Titans five yards. However, Tennessee finally got in the end zone with TE Anthony Firkser catching a 5-yard touchdown. Titans, 7-0

Houston, again, faces a third-and-12 situation as they go backwards on first and second down. Ultimately the Texans have to punt.
