Texans vs. Jaguars Thursday injury report: Practicing virtually due to COVID-19

The Houston Texans released their injury report, which was an estimation because they had to cancel practice due to COVID-19.

The Houston Texans released their Thursday injury report ahead of their Week 9 matchup with the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday at 12:00 p.m. CT at TIAA Bank Field.

Outside linebacker Jacob Martin tested positive for COVID-19, and he was placed on the COVID reserve. Joining him were outside linebacker Whitney Mercilus and inside linebacker Dylan Cole, who were determined to have been in contact with Martin after tracing.

Therefore, Thursday’s injury report is an estimation of participation given that Houston had to cancel practice and close team facilities.

Inside linebacker Kyle Emanuel was labeled as not a participant due to a concussion.

The Texans had no players that were labeled limited participants.

Receiver Randall Cobb was upgraded to a full participant as he deals with an illness. Tight end Jordan Akins, who had an ankle and concussion, was considered a full participant, as were inside linebacker Peter Kalambayi (hamstring) and cornerback Bradley Roby (knee).
