Texans vs. Dolphins inactives: Tua Tagovailoa the emergency QB

The Houston Texans released their inactives for the Miami Dolphins, who will have Tua Tagovailoa as emergency QB in Week 9. Jacob Brissett starts.

The Houston Texans released their inactives for Week 9 against the Miami Dolphins Sunday at 12:00 p.m. Central Time at Hard Rock Stadium.

Tight end Pharaoh Brown (thigh), quarterback Deshaun Watson (not injury related), and linebacker Hardy Nickerson (concussion), quarterback Jeff Driskel, running back Cre’Von LeBlanc, linebacker Eric Wilson, and receiver Davion Davis were declared inactive for Houston.

Although not counted on the inactives, linebacker Christian Kirksey (thumb) was placed on injured reserve on Nov. 6. On Friday’s injury report, he was ruled out for the Dolphins.

For Miami, cornerback Trill Williams, receiver Preston Williams, tackle Greg Little, tight end Hunter Long, safety Sheldrick Redwine, linebacker Darius Hodge, and defensive tackle John Jenkins were declared inactive.

According to Joe Schad from the Palm Beach Post, quarterback Tua Tagovailoa will be active, but will be the Dolphins’ emergency quarterback. Jacoby Brissett will get the start.
