Will the Houston Texans ever get off the schneid?
Week 6 will answer that question as the 1-4 Texans head to Lucas Oil Stadium to face the equally 1-4 Indianapolis Colts. The first five games of the season has been disappointing for both sides as each AFC South club has had to work through its share of injuries.
Davis Mills figures to be the starting quarterback as coach David Culley indicated that former Pro Bowler Tyrod Taylor may not come off of injured reserve this week.
The Colts are coming off of an overtime loss on Monday Night Football in Baltimore where Indianapolis blew a 16-point fourth-quarter lead against the Ravens. Basically Indianapolis saw Houston blow their 13-point second half lead over the New England Patriots and asked them to hold their beverage.
How do oddsmakers see the first encounter of the Texans-Colts series going?
According to Tipico, the Texans are +8.5 underdogs against the Colts, representing the second-longest odds of Week 6. Only the battered New York Giants have longer odds facing the Los Angeles Rams at MetLife Stadium (+10.5).
The point total for the game is 47.5 points, tied for the seventh-highest in the NFL. The Kansas City Chiefs against Washington has the highest of the week at 55.5 points.
Sunday was the first time a Texans game had a point total of at least 47 points with Mills starting. Additionally last week was the highest points combined game for the Colts as they produced 56 together with the Ravens.
Unlike Week 4 at Buffalo, the elements won’t be a factor as the game will be indoors.
