Texans trade with Broncos, move up to No. 75 overall to draft LB Christian Harris in Round 3

The Houston Texans traded with the Denver Broncos to select Alabama LB Christian Harris No. 75 overall in Round 3 of the 2022 NFL draft.

Houston Texans general manager Nick Caserio made his second trade of Day 2, and used it to take another Alabama player.

The Texans traded No. 80 overall in Round 3 along with No. 162 overall in Round 5 to move up to No. 75 overall and take linebacker Christian Harris.

Harris came alive in his junior year with the Crimson Tide as he generated 80 combined tackles, 11.5 tackles for loss, 5.5 sacks, three pass breakups, and two forced fumbles.

The 2020 national football champion joins a linebacking corps that includes Kamu Grugier-Hill and former 2021 fifth-round pick Garret Wallow. At 6-2, 232 pounds, Harris has the same size and ability to move sideline to sideline as Wallow.
