Texans topple Titans, push Jaguars into first place in the AFC South

The Jacksonville Jaguars are in first place in the AFC South, thanks to tiebreakers

The least likely team to win a game won one on Saturday and put the most unlikely of teams into first place by virtue of the victory.

Davis Mills hit Brandon Cooks with a touchdown pass that proved the difference in Houston’s 19-14 victory over the Tennessee Titans.

The win snapped Houston’s nine-game losing streak and ran Tennessee’s to five games.

By virtue of tiebreakers, the Jacksonville Jaguars are in first place in the AFC South at 7-8.

The Titans have the same mark but Jacksonville has the edge through the tiebreaker system with two weeks left in the season.

These are the same Jacksonville Jaguars that have had the first overall pick in the NFL draft the last two seasons.

The Jaguars finish the season with a game at the Texans next week and then a home contest against Tennessee.

Two wins and they will have gone from worst to first.
