Texans to sign former Packers G Lane Taylor to 1-year contract

The Houston Texans have signed former Green Bay Packers guard Lane Taylor.

The Houston Texans continue to bolster their offensive line.

According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, the Texans have signed former Green Bay Packers guard Lane Taylor to a one-year contract.

The signing makes sense as the Texans have Taylor’s former position coach with the Packers in James Campen, who is now the offensive line coach for Houston.

Taylor was limited to one game as he tore his ACL in 2020. The former Oklahoma State product was limited to two games with the Packers the season prior.

The Arlington (Texas) Martin product visited the Texans on April 5. Houston has a need along the interior offensive line as they released guards Senio Kelemete and Zach Fulton along with starting center Nick Martin.
