Texans sign long snapper Mitchell Fraboni

The Houston Texans have signed former Arizona State long snapper Mitchell Fraboni.

The Houston Texans continue to evaluate all parts of their roster, even during the lull between offseason workouts and training camp.

The team announced Monday they have signed former Arizona State long snapper Mitchell Fraboni.

Fraboni went undrafted in 2018. However, he did receive a rookie minicamp invite from the Tennessee Titans that offseason.

According to Fraboni’s LinkedIn page, he graduated from Arizona State with a bachelor of science in finance, which he then used to work as a financial representative with Northwestern Mutual from June through December of 2018. Last year, shortly before the COVID-19 lockdowns, Fraboni put his snapping skills on tape at a workout hosted by Kohl’s Snapping Camps.

In college, Fraboni played all 13 games for the Sun Devils and recorded a solo tackle. He was also one of 10 Arizona State players to earn Pac 12 all-academic honors with an honorable mention. Fraboni also earned a third-team spot on Phil Steele’s all-Pac 12 team.

The Texans also have Pro Bowler Jon Weeks on the roster, who is the franchise leader with 176 games played.
