The Houston Texans continue to revamp their cornerback group.

According to Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle, the Texans have signed former Los Angeles Chargers and Tennessee Titans cornerback Desmond King to a one-year contract worth $3.5 million.

The Texans still have Bradley Roby under contract along with Keion Crossen and John Reid. Houston also re-signed Vernon Hargreaves and added former Cleveland Browns cornerbacks Tremon Smith and Terrance Mitchell in free agency.

King played 53 games for the Chargers, starting in 23 of them. The former Iowa Hawkeye picked off four passes, returning two for pick-sixes, and collected 17 pass breakups.

The Chargers traded King to the Tennessee Titans for a sixth-round pick on Nov. 2, 2020. With the Titans, King appeared in nine games with two pass breakups and a 63-yard fumble returned for a touchdown.
