The day after the Rams beat the Seahawks in the wild-card round, Brandon Staley had two interviews for head coaching jobs. The Jets and Chargers both met with him over videoconference on Sunday, but they’re not the only teams interested in the Rams defensive coordinator.
According to multiple reports, the Texans are the latest team to request an interview with Staley for their head coaching vacancy. It was first reported by Tom Pelissero of NFL Network. The Texans are searching for a replacement for Bill O’Brien, who was fired this season and replaced by Romeo Crennel on an interim basis.

Staley led the Rams defense for the first time this season, and he did a stellar job. Los Angeles finished first in points allowed and yards allowed, also ranking second in sacks and first in passing yards against.
Staley is only a first-year coordinator after holding the position of outside linebackers coach with the Broncos and Bears under Vic Fangio, but his stock is certainly on the rise after the season the Rams just had.
