Texans QB Deshaun Watson posts more cryptic lyrics on Twitter

Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson has posted more cryptic lyrics to Twitter, this time from Lil Uzi Vert’s song “Wassup.”

Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson posted more lyrics to his Twitter on Wednesday that are open to interpretation.

The two-time Pro Bowler quoted lyrics from the Lil Uzi Vert song called “Wassup”:

“Don’t deal with the lies and the frauds,” Watson tweeted. “That’s why I don’t get involved.”

These lyrics come after the former 2017 first-round pick from Clemson tweeted lyrics from a Drake song referencing how iconic duos split up, which could be a reference to the trading of three-time All-Pro receiver DeAndre Hopkins to the Arizona Cardinals on March 18.

It doesn’t help that Las Vegas has Watson as the odds-on favorite to be the New England Patriots’ starting quarterback in 2021.

The reality is there has been no public sentiment from Watson that he is in conflict with the Texans organization, nor is there any indication from coach Bill O’Brien, now the full-time general manager, that he seeks to trade the former Clemson Tiger.

Watson could have posted the lyrics to have fun with a sports media that has little substance to focus on with the NBA, NHL, college basketball, MLS, and MLB all in suspension due to the COVID-19 outbreak. Now that he got everyone’s attention with the Drake lyrics, he can post anything he wants and it is subject to more interpretation than the Zapruder Film.

Watson is under contract with the Texans through the 2020 season. If the club picks up his fifth-year option, he will be under contract through the 2021 season with his salary fully guaranteed.
