Texans OL Jarrett Patterson leaves game vs. Colts with head injury

The Texans will be without Jarrett Patterson for the remainder of Sunday’s contest against the Colts.

The Houston Texans turned to Jarrett Patterson on the offensive line.

Six plays later, they were forced to turn back to Kenyon Green.

Patterson is out for the remainder of Sunday’s contest against the Indianapolis Colts after suffering a concussion during the second quarter. Houston has turned back to its first-round offensive lineman at left guard, though the Texans could look elsewhere moving into Week 9.

Patterson, a former sixth-round pick out of Notre Dame, remained down after Joe Mixon secured a 14-yard touchdown in the second quarter. He was able to walk off the field, but needed the help of trainers.

He went directly to the blue medical tent for further evaluation.
