The Los Angeles Rams won’t have Ogbonnia Okoronkwo on defense next season. According to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, the Texans have agreed to terms on a contract with Okoronkwo.
Terms of the deal were not reported, so it’s unclear how long the contract is for or how much Okoronkwo will make. But he deserved a bigger opportunity elsewhere after being blocked by Von Miller, Leonard Floyd and Dante Fowler Jr., among others, with the Rams.
He’s also dealt with injuries throughout his career, playing only 33 games in four seasons. Okoronkwo missed his entire rookie season, too, so his impact on the field has been limited.
