The Houston Texans exploding for 22 palliative points in the fourth quarter against the Los Angeles Rams may have been significant after all.
According to Nick Wojton from the Touchdown Wire, the Texans moved up from last place in the power rankings to No. 30 following their loss to the Rams in Week 8 at NRG Stadium.
The Texans were rolled by the Rams, 38-22. Houston allowed 38-straight points to start the game, only to make bettors very mad. Their 22 points in the fourth quarter did cover some spreads in sportsbooks.
Now all eyes are on the trade deadline and if Houston will move more pieces.
The biggest piece the Texans can move is quarterback Deshaun Watson, but it is unlikely Houston trades the three-time Pro Bowler ahead of the Nov. 2 deadline.
Around the AFC South, the Jacksonville Jaguars regressed to No. 31. The Indianapolis Colts went from No. 18 to No. 20. The Tennessee Titans went to No. 7, down from No. 6 a week ago.
