What can a win over the Tennessee Titans do for your placement in the power rankings?

According to Nick Wojton of the Touchdown Wire, the Houston Texans improved from No. 31 overall to No. 29 following their 22-13 win over Tennessee on the road. The win also snapped Houston’s hideous eight-game losing streak.

The Texans certainly deserve credit for topping the former No. 1 team in our power rankings to snap their eight-game losing streak. But something is going on with the Titans which led to this 22-13 loss.

We’ll get back to that, but the Texans had four interceptions, including two from CB Desmond King. However, Tennessee did outgain Houston 420-190, so we can’t shoot the Texans up too far.

The Jacksonville Jaguars dropped down from No. 29 to No. 30 after their loss to the the San Francisco 49ers. The Indianapolis Colts blew out the Buffalo Bills and moved up to No. 12 from No. 14 last week. The Titans fell to No. 5 after being No. 1 last week.
