Obviously, there are a lot of Houston Texans fans who are understandably upset by the news of J.J. Watt moving on from the organization.
Watt and the Texans mutually agreed to part ways on Friday. The team released him and now he’s free to sign wherever he wants after spending his entire career with the organization.
Clearly, Texans fans don’t want him to leave. They’ve found a way to try and convince him to stay.
Watt shared news that he’d received a flood of $99 donations to his Watt Foundation from fans in Houston and around the rest of the country. They came attached with notes trying to convince him to stay.
Waking up this morning to a flood of $99 donations to @WattFoundation from Houston and cities all over the country (presumably attempts at bribes, judging by the messages attached with some 😂)
Kids all over the country will benefit from your generosity.
I’m truly thankful.

That’s hilarious.
Though their efforts obviously won’t work, this is still a pretty incredible way to send Watt off from Houston. It’s a city he’s spent his entire nine-year career in. Clearly, there’s some attachment. This shows just how connected people feel to him.
That’s always pretty cool to see. Shoutout to Texans fans for showing him love and helping to brighten some kid’s day.
