The Houston Texans have added some depth to their running back corps as they get ready to play the Cleveland Browns in Week 10.
The Texans are elevating running back C.J. Prosise to the active roster for Sunday’s game against the Browns at FirstEnergy Stadium at 12:00 p.m. CT, according to Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle.
Houston needs some depth at the position on game day as starter David Johnson will be out with a concussion. While the Texans will move Duke Johnson up to the starting role and Buddy Howell, who excels at special teams, will take the support role, Houston believes they need to have three backs and have thus elevated Prosise.
Prosise has been active for the past six games for Houston. In Week 3’s 28-21 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers, Prosise carried once for a yard.
