HOUSTON — Defensive lineman DeMarcus Walker is questionable to return to the Houston Texans’ Week 12 match against the 2-8 New York Jets at NRG Stadium. Walker sustained a hamstring injury during the second half after recording a sack on rookie quarterback Zach Wilson— according to Texans’ PR.
Walker, 27, has established himself as a vital piece to the Texans’ defensive line. In nine games played thus far this season, Walker has notched 21 total tackles (13 solo hits), to go along with 1.0 sack on the year.
Walker is the latest Texan to be hit by an injury bug that has plagued Houston’s defensive line over the last few weeks.
During a 22-13 victory against the Tennessee Titans last Sunday, the Texans were without defensive end Jonathan Greenard due to his own foot injury. After missing one game, Greenard made his return against the Jets.
