HOUSTON — Despite having a breakout season during his second year in the league, injuries have been a significant problem for defensive end Jonathan Greenard.
According to the Houston Texans, Greenard is questionable to return to the Week 18 match against the Tennessee Titans with a foot injury. Greenard sustained the injury at the 2:26 mark of the first quarter at NRG Stadium.
Greenard has been a bright spot for the Texans amidst their 4-12 record. He leads the team in sacks with 8.0 on the season and has recorded two force fumbles in the process.
Unfortunately for Greenard, Sunday’s match was just his 11th appearance of the season, as the second-year prodigy from Florida has battled injuries and COVID throughout the year.
“I think I played solid, I can do a ton better,” Greenard said following practice on Wednesday. “Obviously, just staying healthy and being available. I missed too many games this year. Trying to make it through a full season so I don’t have to have that tag on, things of that sort. There is always room to grow and that is credit to the guys and coaches that have been around me.”
