Texans DB Jimmie Ward changes team’s tone with pick-six vs. Titans

Jimmie Ward wants to win this game for the Houston Texans by himself entering the fourth quarter at NRG Stadium.

C.J. Stroud has two interceptions. Will Levis only has one.

Neither of the Houston Texans’ picks have led to scoring drives.

The lone mistake by the Tennessee Titans’ signal-caller has led to a lead change.

Jimmie Ward jumped a route intended for Nick Westbrook-Ikhine and ran it back 65 yards for the score. The Texans, who trailed by three at halftime, now lead 24-23 entering the fourth quarter.

The interception comes at an ideal time since Houston’s offense remains inconsistent. At the same time, Stroud found Cade Stover for a 14-yard touchdown and Nico Collins for a 5-yard score, he’s also been ice-cold connecting on vertical passes while giving opportunities for the Titans to come back.

Ward doesn’t care if Stroud is creating turnovers. He’s doing everything to make sure the Texans walk away with a victory at home before traveling to Jacksonville in Week 13.
