The Houston Texans are adding another weapon to the offseason line for a postseason run.
According to the team’s transaction list, the Texans are signing former sixth-round pick Austin Deculus to the active roster off the Saints practice squad.
Houston is also bringing back wide receiver Jaxon Janke to the practice squad. In a corresponding move, the Texans have moved offensive tackle Zac Thomas to the reserve-non-football illness list.

A 2022 pick out of LSU, Deculus was waived by the Texans in 2023 after time on and off the active roster and practice squad. He was claimed off waivers by the New York Jets and then waived earlier this year before being signed to the Saints practice squad.
During his two seasons in Houston, Deculus saw action in 12 games. He offers position flexibility at right tackle, left guard and right guard.
The Cy-Fair native also started a game for Houston in 2022.
The Texans close out the regular season on the road against the Tennessee Titans. Kickoff from Nissan Stadium is scheduled for noon CT.
