Texans avoid dead last in Touchdown Wire Week 6 NFL power rankings

The Houston Texans aren’t the worst team in the NFL in the latest Touchdown Wire power rankings for Week 6.

The Houston Texans may have lost 25-22 to the New England Patriots, giving up a 13-point lead in Week 5 at NRG Stadium, but they aren’t the worst team in the NFL anymore.

According to Nick Wojton of the Touchdown Wire, the Texans moved up from last place in the power rankings to No. 31 overall.

Last week: 32

The Texans surprisingly held tough as home underdogs against the Patriots. In the end, the Pats pulled off the comeback and hopefully for Houston, this team will take what happened as a learning experience. QB Davis Mills did have some promising signs, including 300-plus yards in the air. Enough to get the Texans out of the basement in this poll, at least.

Across the rest of the AFC South, with their convincing win over the most dysfunctional team in the NFL, the Jacksonville Jaguars, the Tennessee Titans propelled from No. 14 to No. 10. The Indianapolis Colts dropped from No. 19 to No. 23. The Jaguars slid all the way down to No. 32.
