The Houston Texans will be getting some help along the backend as they prepare to take on the Tennessee Titans Sunday at 12:00 p.m. Central Time at Nissan Stadium.
The Texans announced they have activated safety Terrence Brooks from injured reserve. Brooks had been on the reserve since he sustained a lung contusion in Week 6 against the Indianapolis Colts. Brooks had to stay overnight after the game in an Indianapolis hospital for observation.
The club placed linebacker Hardy Nickerson on injured reserve, where he will have to remain for at least three weeks. Nickerson had been a non-participant in practice all week with a concussion.
Houston designated defensive end Derek Rivers as their standard elevation from the practice squad. Rivers will replace defensive end Jonathan Greenard, who was questionable with a foot injury, but ultimately stayed behind in Houston.
