No. 9 Tennessee (2-0, 0-0 SEC) will open Southeastern Conference play in Week 3.

The Vols will play Florida (1-1, 0-0 SEC) on Saturday at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium in Gainesville, Florida. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m. EDT and ESPN will televise the SEC East matchup.

Tennessee enters its Week 3 matchup after defeating Austin Peay, 30-13, at Neyland Stadium.

“Looking forward to going and playing a really good football team,” Tennessee head coach Josh Heupel said about playing at Florida. “Great opportunity. You come to Tennessee because you want to play in these types of games and these types of environments.

“Sitting on primetime Saturday night. Great challenge in front of us, really good football team. They’re big, strong and athletic on both sides of the line of scrimmage. The skill players on both sides are really good. Great speed and will be a huge test for us.”
