No. 6 Tennessee (10-2, 6-2 SEC) will play Clemson (11-2, 8-0 ACC) in the Capital One Orange Bowl on Dec. 30 at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida.
Kickoff is slated for 8 p.m. EST and ESPN will televise the matchup.
Friday’s meeting will mark the 20th all-time meeting between the two tradition-rich teams.
The Vols hold an 11-6 advantage in the all-time series and the two schools have played to two ties.
This is the second postseason meeting between Tennessee and the Tigers. Clemson defeated the Vols, 27-14, in the 2004 Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl, following the 2003 campaign. The game featured the fumblerooski by Clemson on the way to victory.
