Tennessee Titans’ Week 8 Player of the Game: A.J. Brown

On a day when the Titans couldn’t get anything going on the ground, A.J. Brown came up big.

On a day when the Tennessee Titans couldn’t get anything going on the ground, wide receiver A.J. Brown came up big in the 34-31 overtime victory over the Indianapolis Colts.

Brown had his best game of the season and finally broke through against a Colts team he had failed to have much success against in the past.

The Ole Miss product finished with season-highs in catches (10) and yards (155), and found pay dirt in the second quarter on a 57-yard catch and run that saw him break a tackle before taking it to the house.

The big play, which was Brown’s first target of the game after seeing zero in the first quarter, evened up the game at 14 after the Titans fell behind 14-0 early on.

Honorable mentions: Randy Bullock and Kevin Byard

Bullock has completely stabilized the Titans’ kicking unit. He made both of his field goal attempts, including the game-winner in overtime from 45 yards out. Bullock also made all four of his extra point tries.

Kevin Byard was sensational, also. He notched three pass break-ups, one of which was a huge interception in overtime that setup the Titans’ game-winning field goal. Byard added four tackles as well.

With the win, the Titans improved to 6-2 on the season and now have a commanding lead over the Colts in the AFC South. They’ll travel to Los Angeles to take on the 7-1 Rams in Week 9 on “Sunday Night Football.”
