A.J. Brown provided the spark the Titans’ offense desperately needed in the Week 16 win over the 49ers.

Tennessee Titans wide receiver A.J. Brown gave his team and the fans an early Christmas present after exploding during the Titans’ 20-17 Week 16 victory over the San Francisco 49ers.

Brown, who was making his return after a three-game absence, wasted no time making an impact for the Titans’ offense after reeling in a career-high 11 catches for 145 yards and one touchdown.

He had three receptions for 72 yards during the Titans’ second scoring drive that ended with his touchdown grab, and he was clutch on third downs all night long.

Per ESPN Stats & Info, Brown had eight catches on third downs, the most by any player in a game in the last 40 years, and he accounted for 69 percent of Tennessee’s receiving yards, the highest percentage by any player this season.

The Titans desperately needed a spark on offense, and their superstar receiver promptly provided it. Now, the Titans are an Indianapolis Colts loss away from clinching their second-straight AFC South crown.
