The Tennessee Titans made an unlikely run last year that led them to an appearance in the AFC Championship Game, and they’ll look to keep the momentum as they head into the upcoming season.
The Houston Texans may have won the division last year, but according to Bet MGM, they shouldn’t be expected to repeat in 2020.
So, who exactly is expected to come out on top?
The Titans are tied with the Indianapolis Colts in the projection of who will take the honors with a line of (+155) each.
Houston (+310) sits at third on the list, while the Jacksonville Jaguars trail all three of their rivals by a large margin (+1200).
Obviously, with the 2020 NFL Draft still on the horizon, and an extensive list of hypothetical scenarios of things that could happen before we make it to the regular season, the most we can chalk this up to is a rough guess.
The Titans certainly give the impression that they should be the favorites after the resiliency they showed in 2019 and the talent they’re hanging onto in the coming season, but we’ve also seen just how inconsistent and unpredictable Tennessee has been in the past.
Much of the Titans’ success in 2020 will ride on how long Tannehill can continue playing at this level, as he comes off of the best season of his career, and how much star rusher Derrick Henry stays a dominant factor.
