Played in AAF and XFL
After a failed stint in the NFL, Gennesy took his talents to the AAF first in 2019, and then to the XFL in 2020 after the latter went under. Unfortunately, because of the coronavirus outbreak, the XFL season was cancelled early, leading to Gennesy becoming a free agent.
Gennesy was one of the first offensive linemen to come off the board in the XFL draft, and he went on to be the starting right guard for the Houston Roughnecks, a team that sported the league’s best player, quarterback P.J. Walker.
According to Pro Football Focus, Gennesy allowed just one QB pressure in 222 pass-blocking snaps with the Roughnecks.
