The Tennessee Titans could very well be shopping free agency or looking into the 2020 NFL Draft for quarterback talent with the possibility of Ryan Tannehill playing elsewhere after recording the best season of his career.
Of course, several takes on who the team could fill the void with have made their rounds, and New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady is on the list as he prepares to test free agency for the first time ever.
Just like the common person, many football players see all of this in the news.
Titans safety Kevin Byard is no exception.
“I’m on social media, so I see all that,” Byard told MMQB’s Albert Breer when asked about his feelings on the possibility of Brady landing in Nashville.
“Honestly, this time of year, every rumor, every piece of speculation that’s out there, really, who knows what’s gonna happen? I know we have free agents. I understand Coach [Mike] Vrabel, [GM] Jon Robinson have decisions to make,” he said. “But I want all those guys back. I want all the guys to come back, even though I know that’s probably not happening. And I try to worry about my own stuff, and be ready, so we can repeat what we did last year, and take it a little further, and be in position to win a Super Bowl. We’re only gonna get better.”
Only time will tell if Tannehill suits up in the two-toned blue again, but there’s no questioning the Titans would receive an instant upgrade with the addition of Brady.
Fun fact: “Byard” spells “Brady” depending on how you arrange the letters.
